Hi, I’m Mruthulan.

The first thing I ever built was a pretty bad website, just to see if I’d even like this.

Since then: three hackathon wins, a newspaper feature, and a barbershop trying out a booking site I built.

The one I still think about is Dell InnovateFest. Right before presenting we were all so nervous, but we somehow did it, and we were proud of ourselves for doing it.

The barbershop was random. I saw it around my neighbourhood and noticed they still take bookings over WhatsApp, so I was like, might as well help them out. That became Better Call Bhai, and this is what the owner sent me:

“Great job brother. I really appreciate the effort you put into this. The website looks clean and professional. I can see the potential because currently we handle bookings manually through WhatsApp. … Really respect the initiative you took to build this for Better Call Bhai. Keep it up bro!”

That’s honestly why I like building for real people. It actually makes an impact on them, and it’s something that helps them. Outside of that, I play sports with my friends once in a while, whatever we feel like that day.

So yeah, turns out I do like it.
